Katie Chidester is a Southern California-based stage director dedicated to making work that centers on storytelling, collaboration, and a strong female voice. Chance Theater: Tiny Beautiful Things (OCTG Award, Best Direction 2024), Matinicus: The Story of Abigail Burgess (OCTG Award nominated Best Play, Best Direction) and Edge (ATLA Digital Theater Festival). Selected credits include: Sense and Sensibility (Costa Mesa Playhouse), Machinal (Long Beach Playhouse), Les Liaisons Dangereuses (UNCG), War of the Worlds (Curtis Theatre), and We Will Not Describe the Conversation (STAGEStheater). Katie was a founding artist of the Page to Stage Playwrights Festival in Brea and a proud board member of OC Theatre Guild. BA, University of Southern California.
