Artist Profile
Vanessa is a director, actor, playwright, and educator. Her involvement with the Chance began as an educational intern for the Teens Speak Up youth program and continues to be involved with the program as a co-teacher.
Vanessa received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a specialization in Directing and Theatre Education from California State University, Fullerton. While earning her degree, she directed Real Women Have Curves, What We’re Up Against, and was the Associate Artistic Director for the Theatre and Dance Department’s B.A. Showcase Program. Her one-act play Dia De La Familia was produced as a part of Cal State Fullerton’s New Works Festival. She has also assistant directed Next To Normal (The Wayward Artist) and Aubergine (South Coast Repertory). Vanessa is currently an acting, directing, and production instructor at the Orange County School of the Arts.
