Laurie Smits Staude, in her own words, “loves Chance Theater and its beautiful and meaningful productions.” She currently serves on the Board of Directors and has been a Producer for many Chance productions, including last season’s Gloria and Tiny Beautiful Things. Her love for theater and literature shines through in the dramaturgy she does as well as through the plays she produces, often times producing plays that have their origins in books and novels . She also loves producing plays that are World Premieres , which she has done both at SCR and at the Chance. Having been for decades a Professor of English, she loves supporting the arts and education in every way that she can.
